Travel Day!

Today started out early, we had to be at the airport at 7am. We had a 2.5 hour flight to San Francisco, then had a 4-hour layover there. We had to wait in a super long line to get our boarding passes to Beijing, then we got on an Air China Boeing 747-8 for a 12.5 hour flight to Beijing! I was squished in the middle section between a Chinese lady and an Indian man. I watched 3 movies: Instant Family, Ocean's 8 and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. We got in to Beijing around 6pm local time, then went through customs, waited 30 minutes for our luggage, took our bags through customs, re-checked them, got our boarding passes, went through security and finally got on the plane to Yantai. That flight was only an hour and a half. Once we got to Yantai we picked up our bags and met together as a group then found the people from the school who were picking us up. They led us clear out into the parking lot and the 20 of us loaded up in a small bus. Once everyone was in, they stacked all the suitcases in the aisle. It took around 1.5 hours to drive to the school and by that time it was almost 2am. We hauled our stuff up to the fourth floor, claimed our rooms and went to bed!
